To err is human. It is more important to acknowledge our mistakes, face them and everyone deserves a second chance. Those who do get that second shot at life will work harder and treasure what could be their final chance to make it right.
A group of ex-convicts, that society has turned its back on due to their criminal background, team together for a start up. With their determination, faith, and passion for life, they prove to the world that it is possible to overcome obstacles and challenges that society throws at them, by embracing that second chance given to them in life.
Ex-convict Zheng Meimei opens her own restaurant, “Meimei’s Kitchen” to take care of her family. Her kitchen hire ex-offenders who have been rejected by society as well as those who are unable to find jobs due to their criminal records. These peoples who are defeated, frustrated and demoralized by the society will go through the test of reality, strengthen themselves and find success at this restaurant.
